Cirque Bijou

Cirque Bijou was set up in 1999 by Julian Bracey and Billy Alwen to create innovative and dynamic physical performance for a range of public and private clients. The company combines the worlds of dance, theatre, circus and carnival to create bespoke visual and physical performance for a wide range of events, including city celebrations and major festivals.

Recent projects have included Take That’s arena and stadium tour, ARK’s annual charity gala dinner (raising £18,000,000), commissioning a new show for Southampton Live and launching the new Saab concept car at the Geneva Motor Show.

Cirque Bijou not only works with professional performers but has taught circus skills over the last three years to thousands of young people and adults in the UK and Europe.

The Circus Space

The Circus Space enables the creation of excellent and innovative circus.  Every year our five programmes involve thousands of people in the physical challenges and artistic pleasures of the circus arts.

Our diverse range of work includes the UK's only degree-level education in Circus Arts which is supported at either side by a structured training programme for under-18's and professional development opportunities for aspiring and established performers.  Adults and young people can enjoy recreational classes or a varied and growing series of performances.  We also run highly regarded workshops, away days and team building events for the corporate community.

The Circus Space is a member of the European Federation of Circus Schools, the Circus Arts Forum and the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama. For more information see our website.
